Active School

National ‘Active SCHOOL Week’ takes place every April and is a really enjoyable part of the school year for many children.

This year, because of COVID-19, it is not possible for this to go ahead so we are asking you to participate in the ‘Active HOME Week‘ challenge instead.

We will be posting photos throughout the week of all the children getting out and getting active at home.

Day 5 01/05/2020

Happy May Day Everyone! Last day of 'Active Home Week' today and what a week it has been. Thankfully the weather stayed on our side for the most part so we could all get outside and do our 60 minutes. The 'Daily Mile' was also a big feature this week and it was great to see all of you getting involved. Keep it up!

Day 4 30/04/2020

We are having such a fun week getting Active this week and we are so lucky to have such a big forest in the local area that we can get out and run around whilst still practicing social distancing. Keeping the mind Active during this time is very important too and a good way of doing this is by playing board games.

Day 3 - 29/04/2020

The rain certainly didn't dampen our Active Home Week spirit today. Skipping, badminton, hurling along with lots of other fun activities happening. Keep up the good work. Two more days of Active Home Week to go.

Day 2 - 28/04/2020

We had lots of fun again today with our 'Active Home Week'. Gymnastics in the woods, indoor exercising, running races and hula hooping were big in our homes today. Great to also see parents getting involved and getting active.

Day 1-27/04/2020

Lots of fun activities happening around Bailieborough today. From cycling, football skills and definitely a new one for the school, trampolining. We even have new 'partnerships' this year with coach 'Penny' the dog. Have a look below to see what the children got up to today.
