World Book Day - 4th March 2021. World Book Day is Ireland’s biggest annual event promoting the enjoyment of books and reading. The main aim is to encourage children to explore the pleasure of books and reading.

Spring into Action Week. 1st - 5th February
St. Anne’s NS will not open on Thursday, January 21st as the phased reopening of schools has been postponed.
Junior Infant Enrolment for 2021/2022 is now open. Closing date Friday 29th January
Following the decision announced by the cabinet last night, St. Anne’s NS’s special classes will not be reopening on Monday January 11th as previously planned and our school will return to online teaching from Monday next.
Taoiseach Micheál Martin announced that nation-wide Level 5 restrictions will operate until January 31st, 2021 and the school Christmas closure is extended by 3 days to allow 10 days of these restrictions before we return to schoo
As we are nearing the final day of the first school term, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody in our school community for the work, effort and support that enabled us to keep St. Anne’s NS open.
We would like to wish all our students and their families a very merry Christmas and happy, healthy New Year. We are really looking forward to Christmas here in school. Have a look.
On the 11th of December 2020 we held a Christmas jumper day in aid of St Vincent de Paul.
‘Happy to Meet… Sorry to Part’ was the title of a popular album back in the 70’s. For our part, the arrival of Mrs O’ Sullivan in St. Anne’s NS in 1989 was a “happy meeting”
To celebrate International Migration Day, The new Syrian community living in Bailieborough have presented the school with a Syrian jasmine plant.
We would like to wish Cavan all the best in the All Ireland Semi Final against Dublin at the weekend.
This week is Science Week 2020. 8th - 15th of November. Each class will be taking part in some fun science experiments.
I hope you and your families are all well. I’d like to welcome all of our pupils, teachers and special needs assistants back after their Hallowe’en break.
