Homework

Homework is given each night, Monday to Thursday and should be completed by each pupil to the best of their ability. Weekends are usually homework free (as a reward for hard work during the week).

Homework is a mixture of oral (learning off), reading and written activities. The purpose of homework is to reinforce concepts learned during the school day and to stimulate pupils to engage in some study of their own.

In the Infants classes, children will have a homework folder containing all homework and any notes of communication from the school.

It should be checked daily.

Homework passes, sometimes given as rewards, should only be used in consultation with the class teacher.
