Christmas Jumper Day for St Vincent de Paul

Christmas Jumper Day for St Vincent de Paul.

On the 11th of December 2020 we held a Christmas jumper day in aid of St Vincent de Paul.

Anyone who wanted to take part in our Christmas Jumper Day were asked to bring in €2 to raise money. We raised a total of €500 and presented a cheque this week to our local St Vincent de Paul Shop.

Two of our fantastic musicians played a melody of Christmas songs on the day.

Well done everyone.

If you would like to do your bit in helping our local St Vincent de Paul this Christmas then please read below. Thank you

''Struggling families often have to choose between basics like a warm house, food for the family or even toys for under the tree.

Unfortunately due Covid-19 the collection and distribution of toys by SVP volunteers is not easy.

So this year, SVP have rethought the traditional toy appeal and developed an innovate alternative - The Empty Toy Box appeal, sponsored by Smurfit Kappa.

Instead of donating a toy for a child in your community, SVP is inviting you to visit your local Vincents shop and BUY an Empty toy box for just €5.

The funds generated from the sale of empty box boxes will be used in the community they are bought to help ensure that children and families have what they need this Christmas''
