📣We have a brand new Student Council at St.Anne's N.S! 📣
🗳Pupils from 4th to 6th classes took part in an election this week organised by Deputy Principal Ms Fay. The votes were counted and verified and the results were announced today.
🗳We were really honoured to have our very own Bailieborough County Councillors, Sarah O'Reilly and Paddy Mc Donald as our special guests this morning to announce the results of the election.
🗳Cllr Sarah O'Reilly , Cllr Paddy Mc Donald, Deputy Principal Ms Fay and Principal Mr. Corcoran congratulated the pupils who put themselves up for election and to all who voted. They emphasised the importance of using your vote to make a difference and how important it is to keep trying even if you don't make it on your first attempt in an election. Sarah and Paddy spoke of their own experiences running in elections and in decision making.
🙋♀️🙋Our Student Council will be the voice of the pupils in our school and help to make decisions and organise events.
They will be ably assisted by the Student Council Advisory Committee which is made up of all of the other pupils who put themselves forward for election- all of whom had wonderful ideas for our school.🙋🏼♀️🙋🏽♂️
💚Thank you sincerely to Cllr Sarah O'Reilly and Cllr Paddy Mc Donald for spending time with us and our pupils at St. Anne's National School Bailieborough this morning. We really appreciate it and we look forward to welcoming you back on a visit very soon again.
Go raibh míle maith agaibh. 💚
