Christmas in St Anne's 2020
We would like to wish all our students and their families a very merry Christmas and happy, healthy New Year.
We are really looking forward to Christmas here in the school. Have a look below at all the fun we are getting up to. (More Images in the gallery at the bottom of the page)
Santa's visit to St Anne's
We have been very lucky here in St Anne's as Santa took some time out during a very busy week to visit us. The rain didn't stop the fun.
4th Class Christmas
Ms Keogh's 4th class have been very busy getting ready for Christmas. They have put a lot of work into making a video for us all to watch.
Carols at Fairlawn's Nursing Home
Ms Smyth/Ms Murray's 5th class wanted to do something special this year for our local nursing home as they have not had many visitors in the current climate. Even the rain couldn't dampen the spirits for their visit to Fairlawns nursing home. The children sang beautifully and really enjoyed themselves. They should be very proud of themselves for bringing so much joy to the residents and staff at Fairlawns. They finished with a virtual hug for everyone. Well done 5th class.
The Nativity - First Christmas
Mr O'Connor's class have been very busy creating a wonderful socially distanced Nativity this year. They performed it out doors in the school garden and each class got a chance to see it. It is a simple nativity based on the birth of Jesus 2000 years ago. They wanted to concentrate on the importance of baby Jesus. They put on a fantastic show and a massive effort went into decorating the school garden and costumes. They even had a special visit at the end from a very busy man with a suprise for each class. Well done 5th and 6th class.
Ms Smith's first class outside in the school garden watching the play.
Art
Ms McElroy's class have been busy creating reindeer's made from kitchen rolls and used their hand prints as antlers. They also made winter trees and snowmen.
Donation to Early Intervention
Lots of goodwill here today. Many thanks to Danny Harris, 5th Class, for his wonderful gift to the Early Intervention Class. His kind generosity is much appreciated.
