Dear School Community,
This morning, Monday 4th July, we received a very welcome approval letter from the Department of Education in regard to our application for Additional School Accommodation. Thank you to Senator Joe O’Reilly for contacting the school with this wonderful news.

️
St. Anne’s NS has been sanctioned 6 x new Mainstream Classes, 1 x Special Education Teaching room and 3 x new Special Educational Needs rooms.
We are delighted to announce this hugely positive development not only for St. Anne’s National School but for the community of Bailieborough and surrounding area.

️
This follows our recent DEIS Urban Band 1 allocation and also our 6th SEN Class which we have recently been sanctioned. Our Board of Management has also added a traversing wall, bungee rebounder trampoline and resurfaced a play area for our SEN pupils in the last term.

️
St. Anne’s National School now has an educationally inclusive profile of 15 Mainstream Classes, 6 Special Educational Needs classes, 5 Special Education teachers and a Home School Community Liaison Officer.

️
There will be a lot of adjusting in the coming months whilst we await temporary modular buildings before the permanent building extension commences.

️
I thank all of the staff, teachers, SNAs,
parents and children for your patience. We are extremely fortunate to have such enthusiastic, innovative and ambitious staff who provide wonderful learning experiences for all of the pupils in St.
Anne’s each and every day.

️
Thank you to the Department of Education Buildings Unit for their assistance in our application for the Additional School Accommodation Scheme over the past year leading up to its approval today.
Mise le meas,
Paul Corcoran
Principal
