6th Class visit to Leinster House

Our 6th Classes had a fantastic day in Leinster House courtesy of Senator Joe O’Reilly. We had a guided tour of the house and witnessed the very heated vote of no confidence debates in the Dáil from the gallery. Our school was mentioned, and spoken highly of, on the official record in the Seanad by Senator Joe as we watched from the gallery there. The transcript of this will be forwarded to us.
Joe, Pauline Tully and Brendan Smith were delighted to join us for a picture. Niamh wasn't there today unfortunately.
All of the staff and politicians we met in Leinster House today complimented our pupils for their excellent behaviour and how interested they were in everything they saw and heard. I think we will have some future eager politicians from St. Anne's NS judging by the children's comments.
