Miss O'Reardon's Senior Infants studied Space, Neil Armstrong, Apollo 11 mission, planets, star constellations, rockets and astronauts.


Miss Farrelly's 1st and 2nd Class produced beautiful Sunflower Art.

Mr. O'Connor's 6th became bakers with Susan and baked delicious cupcakes.

Miss O'Reardon's Senior Infants went Under the Sea in Aistear, read A Whale's Tale, learned about sea pollution and celebrated Earth Day.

Ms.Smyth's/Ms.Murray's Senior Infants worked really hard on their Space Topic and tried out the Active Walkway.

Ms.Mc Mahon's Junior Infants explored Capacity outdoors.

Mr.O'Dowd's 4th class followed the Active Schools Committee with Junior Infants.

Ms O'Neill's Oak Tree Class created beautiful Easter baskets using papier-mache which they will use for their Easter egg hunt next week.

Ms. Clarke's Holly Tree Class have some new students-caterpillars! The pupils have spent the week observing their changes, going on minibeast hunts, and classifying minibeasts according to their features.

Ms Walsh's 5th Class partook in a group art project based on the rainforest. They also created comic strip reports based on the 1916 Easter Rising.

Miss O'Reardon's Senior Infants enjoyed Buddy Reading with 6th class. They read books as Gaeilge this week.
They also made spring tulips in art.

Ms. Murray's/Ms.Smyth's Senior Infants enjoyed Gaeilge book buddy reading with 6th class. They worked on their garden project and sowed seeds in the heptagon house. In Aistear they enjoyed selling flowers in their flower shop.
Mr. Quigley brought our Senior boys to a local soccer tournament. They played very well and enjoyed their day.

Sports at St.Anne's is flourishing. Thank you to Mr.Quigley and Ms.Smyth for bringing the girls to a soccer blitz on Wednesday.Despite the terrible weather the girls had a great day. They never complained, gave it their best and we are all so proud of them. They had two wins on the day and the hot chocolate back at school was well earned! Thank you to Mr.Quigley for training our pupils after school and to Bailieborough Celtic Club for donating bibs, cones and footballs to our school also.

Mr.O'Connor's 6th Class made a splendid array of shoebox stories.

Ms. Walsh's 5th Class have been studying World War 2 and were reading buddies to the infants this week.

Mr. O'Dowd's 4th Class enjoyed a library visit to hear Irish stories and song.

Miss Farrelly's 1st and 2nd Class learned all about weight in Maths.

Mr. Payne's Rowan Tree Class produced some superb shoebox story art.

Miss O'Reardon's Senior Infants learned about the farm in Aistear and may have worked on special surprises for mammies (sshh!)

Ms Smyth's Senior Infants enjoyed Lá Glas and planted some peas.

Thank you to Ms Stafford and our fabulous parent volunteers for the work they've started in painting our new Heptagon House.

Miss Farrelly's 1st and 2nd Class and Miss Mc Gurren's 4th Class created some lovely Valentine's art.

Ms.Smyth's and Ms.Murray's Senior Infants made their own play dough and worked on procedural writing.

Mr. O'Connor's 6th class worked on fabulous Titanic projects.

Ms Clarke's Holly Tree Class learned about the Post Office and the people who work there. They wrote their own letters and envelopes and went to the post office to buy stamps.

Miss O'Reardon's Senior Infants worked on the weather station in Aistear. They also created Banksy inspired umbrellas.

Ms.O'Neill's Oak Tree Class took a trip to the coffee parlour for some lovely treats.

Miss O'Reilly's Junior Infants worked on the doctor's surgery in Aistear learning about the work of doctors and nurses and built their own hospitals in their construction corner.

Miss Nulty's 5th class did a wonderful job making constructions of the GPO.

Mr. O'Dowd's 4th class worked on acting out emotions and feelings using scenario cards in SPHE.

Mr.O'Dowd took a leaf out of Dermot Bannon's book and along with his 4th Class used the Cubism technique to redecorate the classroom cupboards.

Ms. O'Donnell's and Ms. Somerville's 3rd Classes enjoyed a training session with FAI soccer coaches organised by Mr. Quigley.

Miss Farrelly's 1st/2nd class celebrated Grandparents Day for Catholic Schools Week by making lovely cards.

Ms. Somerville's/Ms. O'Donnell's 3rd created stunning Mona Lisa art work their study of Italy.

Miss Smith's 1st Class got scientific with their student teacher Miss Mc Kiernan.

Miss Mc Cusker's Hawthorn Tree Class made beautiful clay penguins for their Antarctica project.

Miss O'Reardon's Senior Infants worked on "The Cafe" theme in Aistear, celebrated Grandparents Day for Catholic Schools Week and learned all about the Chinese New Year of the rabbit.

๐ขMiss McIntyre's 6th Class wowed Ms. Fay with their superb Titanic project presentations. They researched the history of the famous ship and were hugely innovative in their presentations, displaying many formidable skills such as team work, skill sharing, oral language proficiency, voice projection, listening skills and ICT/Art/written work excellence. A huge well done to each of the project groups.
๐ฉโ๏ธMs. Lawson Clarke's Holly Tree Class learned about people who help us. They role played the doctor's role and made their own xray pictures.
ใ๏ธMiss Farrelly's 1st/2nd Class created Chinese New Year Art based on the year of the rabbit.
โ๏ธMs.Smyth's/Ms.Murray's Snr Infants enjoyed paired reading and worked on the theme of weather by becoming weather reporters, building weather stations and painting rainbows.

HELLO 2023. We are back with a bang for the New Year!

Ms Mc Mahon's Junior Infants worked on the numerals 1, 2 and 3.

๏ธMiss Farrelly's 1st/2nd Class had fun in maths games time.

Miss Conlan's 2nd Class created and designed a Winter Wonderland.

Ms Rogers' Ash Tree Class enjoyed sensory play.

Ms Mc Cusker's Hawthorn Tree Class learned about the Arctic and Antarctica and made snow scenes for the animals.

Miss O'Reardon's Senior Infants made fireworks from chalk pastels to celebrate the new year and painted handprints for 2023. They also made snowflakes with sponge painting.

Miss Martin's Apple Tree Class used instruments and worked on comprehension skills through running and skipping activities.
